Being a writer means staring at blank pages and white screens, hoping words will magically appear.

Being a writer means feeling pressured to write every day, even if you don’t feel you have something to write about.


Being a writer means hoping that someone will be interested when you bring up in conversation that you’re a writer.


Being a writer means analyzing everything you read.


Being a writer means thinking about writing even when you should be focusing on something else.


Being a writer means having too many ideas one day, and then none the next.


Being a writer means questioning every word you write.


Being a writer means being your toughest critic.


Being a writer can be tough. Next time you write, be kind to yourself.
